My Favourite Zip-around machine!

It first came out in a bike mag where i saw and thought to myself with a skeptical frown: "man! What is Piaggio trying to do? Following the footsteps of the VW Beetle or the Mini Cooper?" Then, i seriously doubted this marketing move by the giant scooter marque.

And the day came...Piaggio did a huge lauching at the local bike scene. I admit, they did made some efforts and score pretty good points with the scooter community here. My skeptism somehow remain intact.

Things proved my judgement was questionable when I was invited to the launch party at Indo Chimes. My eye brows were raised thru out the night, well, partly due to those gorgeous female guests and the hordes of angmo models (or models-wannabes). But, for a sigificant amount of time, it is because of this beautiful model which stood up right infront of the main entrance, and the star of the night, the GT200A.

I got to admit, not many bikes has really caught my eyes and my heart all at first sight. But Vespa GT200 has got to be one of them.

Wasted no time, a few days after the party and the fateful rendezvous, i traded in my X9 250cc to roll out a brand new black GT glider too.

Never looked back since.

after a year and this beautiful glider is still running me around places swiftly and comfortably. This fabulous scooter also put me in the high mode of fashion where dressing became important to me when i am riding it. Never regretted getting a vespa GT. Now I am hoping to find more GT riders and share the passion of riding one of the most incredible creations by Piaggio of all times.
